Thirsa & Gijsbert

Wedding photography Utrecht

From the first moment of contact with Gijsbert and Thirsa, we felt a personal click. Not only because we had a fun evening with the bride and groom prior to the wedding, but also because this day was full of beautiful, pure moments and fun challenges.

In fact, it rained all day, which added to the challenge for us photographers. But the bride and groom and their guests kept smiling and enjoying themselves, despite the rain. And that only made this day more beautiful. For example, we were able to take beautiful pictures in the rain during the photo shoot on the moors in Ermelo.

After the photo shoot, we left for Utrecht where we took pictures at the Domtuin and the Nieuwe Gracht. Again, it was raining, but that just gave an extra romantic feel to the photos. The bride and groom were incredibly patient and flexible, which made it easier for us photographers to get great pictures.

One of the highlights of the day was the canal boat tour of Utrecht’s Singel and canals. It was a great experience to see and photograph this city from the water. The bride and groom visibly enjoyed the cruise and we were able to take beautiful photos from the boat. After the tour, we took group photos while walking to the Afghan restaurant Sarban where dinner took place.

It was nice to photograph this wedding together so we could capture as many moments as possible. For example, we could take pictures of the bride and groom and their guests during dinner, while the other could explore the venue in advance for great photos later in the evening. Dinner was delicious and the atmosphere was relaxed and cozy.

After dinner, it was time for the church dedication at the Dom Church in Utrecht. What a special place to be blessed! The church was beautiful and the bride and groom were beaming with happiness. We were able to take beautiful photos during the service, positioning ourselves as inconspicuously as possible so the bride and groom and guests could enjoy the moment.

After the service, it was time for the opening dance in the wharf basement of the Winkel van Sinkel, where we ended the day with the bride and groom and their guests. It was a special ending to a beautiful day full of love and happiness.

This wedding was exactly how we like to photograph, full of sweet moments, beautiful transitions to the different locations, places where we could be nice and creative and most of all with lots of love. It was an honor to be a part of this special day and we are glad we were able to capture these memories for Gijsbert and Thirsa.

As wedding photographers, we believe it is important not only to take beautiful pictures, but also to build a good relationship with the bride and groom. We want the bride and groom to feel comfortable with us so that we can take beautiful and spontaneous photos and get up close. This is why we enjoy meeting with the bride and groom prior to the wedding and discussing their wishes. This allows us to capture the day as personally as possible and create beautiful memories that the bride and groom can enjoy for years to come.

Thirsa and Gijsbert also left these beautiful words via Google Review itself:
Marvin and Laurette photographed our wedding, and what photos they delivered! We could completely relive the day with all the emotions captured beautifully. It was a treat to have them there. Many wedding guests were also very positive. Highly recommended!
