Micha and Larissa’s wedding in the old heart of Edam was a beautiful day with many wonderful moments. The wedding was also called an ode to Edam by one of the day’s guests, and it certainly was. We began the day with preparations at home with Micha, Larissa and Micha’s children. Then we went to a small church at the cheese market for the ceremony, led by a friend. The reception also took place in this church, super intimate with 40 people.
After the ceremony, we took boats to La Galera restaurant for dinner outside at two long tables. It was wonderful cruising on a fine canal cruise. During dinner there were tears of emotion as well as tears of laughter during the wonderful speeches.
After dinner, two boats took us to Harmony, a music bar, where the party began. Around 10 p.m. it was over for me and I took another short walk through the streets of Edam, back to my car.
As a photographer, I felt completely free to do my thing. I was allowed to tell the story of the day completely freely, without directed moments. For me really the finest way to work!
