Wedding at Paviljoen Puur
How cool it is to meet such a cool couple last-minute. Five weeks ago, Pantea and Soheil booked me for their wedding at Paviljoen Puur in Diemen!
Pantea and Soheil were born in Iran and then lived in several countries. So the wedding day was mostly about being together with friends and family who had traveled to Holland from 10 countries around the world. Even Soheil’s mother from Iran was able to attend, having only received a visa 3 days in advance!
Before the ceremony, I met the bride and groom in Leiden to take photos in the Hortus. Then it was time for the special ceremony which was a mix between a Western and traditional Persian Sofreh Aghd ceremony. Which was a first for me to photograph.
The tables were already set and after this impressive ceremony, everyone slid into a delicious dinner on the terrace of Pavilion Puur. During dinner, one wonderful speech after another passed by but another favorite moment of mine was definitely during dessert, when Pantea’s mother prepared a plate full of Iranian sweets for me :). The wedding day ended perfectly with a full dance floor and traditional music.
