SOHEIL + PANTEA
How cool it is to meet such a cool bridal couple last minute. Five weeks ago Pantea and Soheil booked me for their wedding at Paviljoen Puur in Diemen and I am so happy about that!
Pantea and Soheil were born in Iran and have since lived in different countries. The wedding day was therefore mainly dominated by being together with friends and family who traveled to the Netherlands from 10 countries around the world. Even Soheil’s mother from Iran was able to be there, after only getting a visa 3 days in advance!
Before the ceremony, I met the bridal couple in Leiden to take pictures there in the Hortus. Then it was time for the special ceremony which was a mix of a western and traditional Persian Sofreh Aghd ceremony. Which was my first time photographing.
The tables were already set and after this impressive ceremony everyone sat down to a delicious dinner on the terrace of Paviljoen Puur. During dinner, one beautiful speech after another passed by but another favorite moment of mine was certainly during dessert when the mother of Pantea prepared a plate full of Iranian sweets for me :). The wedding day ended perfectly with a full dance floor and traditional music.
