This one had been on my bucket list for a long time, photographing the Lathmar Holi festival in India and two weeks ago it was finally here! In the days leading up to the festival, I took to the streets of Delhi and Agra to photograph daily life, which of course included a brief visit to the Taj Mahal.
The Lathmar Holi festival takes place in two small villages near Delhi. It is a mix of religion, celebration, tradition and lots of color and water. Also, with my height, I was one of the attractions myself and am in countless selfies :).
I combined the festival with a photography master class by two well-known Indian street photographers, a great experience to learn from these two photographers. After all this hustle and bustle, I was able to recover for another week in beautiful Goa and the temple town of Hampi. In which I still saw days of red, yellow, blue and green from all the color powders from the Holi festival.
See you soon India!
