This was on my bucket list for a long time, photographing the Lathmar Holi festival in India and two weeks ago it was finally time! In the days leading up to the festival, I took to the streets in Delhi and Agra to photograph everyday life, including a short visit to the Taj Mahal of course.
The Lathmar Holi festival takes place in two small villages close to Delhi. It is a mix of religion, celebration, tradition, and a lot of color and water. In addition, with my height, I was also one of the attractions and I am on countless selfies :).
I combined the festival with a photography masterclass from two well-known Indian street photographers, a great experience to learn from these two photographers. After all this hustle and bustle I was able to recover for another week in beautiful Goa and the temple city of Hampi. In which I saw red, yellow, blue, and green for days from all the color powders from the Holi festival. See you soon India!
