Did you know that Rotterdam is secretly my (Marvin’s) town? My whole family are true Rotterdamerts. I was born there myself and did my studies in this wonderful city.
I have since traded the Randstad for the quiet town of Apeldoorn, but when I am asked to photograph in Rotterdam I am there first!
When Marij and Bart told me about the plans they had, I immediately became enthusiastic. We raced all over the center for the best spots. I ended up folded up in the back seat of a vintage wedding car and was shaken up on the water cab by a slightly too enthusiastic skipper. Anything for the best pictures haha!
Once we got off at the water cab we were met by a large group of supporters, Feyenoord was playing! So it didn’t get much more Rotterdam as we ended the day with a delicious party at the Salmon House.
